The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), in response to a need that surfaced in the All Hands Survey, contracted with HumRRO to develop 40 hours of training for supervisors at all levels of the agency. HumRRO conducted a training needs analysis to ensure that the design and content of training were job-related. These results informed the design, training objectives, and content of the training program. HumRRO developed material for 40 hours of supervisory skills training that is tailored to ASPR and addresses critical knowledge and skill areas such as developing employees, improving and increasing communication, providing effective feedback, customer service and handling the administrative functions of Federal supervision. HumRRO also designed a comprehensive, integrated training evaluation plan based on information from stakeholders and the content of the training program. HumRRO integrated ASPR feedback and suggestions into the final evaluation plan. All of the work completed in the project was documented in a final report.
